Our MOVES consulting blog moved. Find more news here:/http://www.moves-consulting.com/blog/

Paid Social Insurance from your salary? How to get money back when the time comes and you will return to your home country.

read more about:
transfer of eligibility of unemployment benefit between EU Countries
- transfer pension account payments from Austria or Germany to your home country
- get money back from Austrian "Mitarbeitervorsorgekasse" = “New Severance Pay"

Since 1.5.2010 the EU regulation Bi 883/2004 is used for people who have been employed in a
EU member country and paid social insurance and taxes from their salary.

You have been working in Austria or Germany as an employee and you paid contributions to the social insurance? Now you will move to another EU country? Then it might be possible to transfer your eligibility for unemployment benefit to your next European Country.

This url will lead you to a website of the Austrian Labor Office:
It shows the form E301 - complete and submit it to your local labor office.

The labor office will send you a confirmation letter in return. This letter will show the time you spend in Austria as an employee who paid to the social insurance account.

Considered that the next EU Country you move to has a certain contract with the Austrian Government about Social Insurance/Unemployment Benefit, the authority in the respective country will add the months shown on the document to your time you paid social insurance in the country you live later.

These countries share in the EU regulation:
These countries are Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Spain as well as the new member countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, CZ´zech Republic, Slowakia, Slowenia, Hungary, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, and since 1.04.20142 Switzerland, as of 1.06.2012 Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein

Contribution to the Austrian or German pension account can be transferred outside EU on request!
As a NON-EU-CITIZEN you can apply for the transfer of your pension payments when you leave the country.

Some countries outside EU have individual agreements with EU countries such as Austria with regard to payments to a pension account. Ask your local authority for the individual process to have your contributions transferred to your individual pension account in your home country
find a list of countries and their pension offices below the text!

You leave Austria? You want to withdraw your contributions from your “New Severance Pay"
Write a letter to your insurance contract partner for your New Severance Pay. State that you will leave the country, your social insurance number, add your deregistration sheet from the townhall and tell them to please transfer your payments to the account you name them in that letter. Please tell them your contact details of your home country where they can reach you.

Flagge Australien_www.meine-erste-homepage.comAfter a waiting period of 5 years (some insurances have different periods)you will receive a letter from the insurance that they prepare the payment of the amount and they will want to know whether your account number and contact details are still correct. Answer if yes and they will transfer the money  to your account.

The statutory health insurance in Germany ...

Our MOVES consulting blog moved. Find more news here: http://www.moves-consulting.com/blog/

…often seems to be a book with 7 seals for foreign employees .
Currently, there are approximately 134 health insurance companies in Germany with nearly 70,000 000 members. The two insurance companies with the highest number of members are the AOK - general local health insurance company with 24,000 000 members and BKK - the company health insurance Mobil Oil with roundabout 11,000 000 members.
A person who moves to Germany for his job usually is confused about making the choice between so many health insurance companies. Not only that he often comes from countries where the health system is organized completely different, he has to decide which one oft he numerous company fits best his needs.
MOVES consulting offers to  its customers an information service that provides customers with first information on how the German health care system is set up and what services it offers.
We inform the Expat about what services the insurer reimburse . How the billing system between the patient, physician and health insurance works. What will happen if a specialist  has to be consulted, or if a hospital stay is needed.
Currently we inform our customers about the new electronic health card – that will be mandatory in Germany from  1.1. 2014.
Objective is the digital networking of patient information with service providers (insurance companies , doctors, other health professionals , pharmacies , hospitals, rehabilitation facilities ect. ) in order to save costs.
With the eGK the health insurance system will become more modern and more uniform.
While on the KVK only small data could be stored, the health card will be capable of storing medical prescriptions (so-called e-prescription ), and the credentials for EU foreigners (so-called European Health Insurance Card ) .
In addition, the health card will be suitable to support the following optional applications, particularly data collection , processing and use of

1 medical data , unless they are required for emergency care ( emergency care data)
2 the so-called electronic medical report ,
3 Information to verify the safe drug treatment (personal drug risks and intolerances )
4 the so-called electronic patient record ,
5 more of that person or for them provided data ( patient compartment) , as well as
6 Data on unused services and preliminary costs for the insured .

It can , because the space on the electronic health card is limited ( 32 kB) , save only up to 8 electronic prescriptions and emergency data on the health card itself. The other volunteer applications, such as a medical record is stored on servers in the telematic infrastructure.

To avoid abuse, all data will be included on the health card that were already stored on the KVK

1 The name of the issuing insurance , including an identifier for physicians' association , the district in which the insured is domiciled
2 photo
3 Surname and first name of the insured
4 date of birth
5 sex
6 address
7 Health insurance number
8 Insurance status , for insured groups according to § 267 paragraph 2, sentence 4 in an encrypted form
9 payment status
10 Date of commencement of insurance cover
11 in the limited validity of the card the date of the expiry
